An investigation has begun into the cause of a fire at a paper recycling factory.

Firefighters were called to the Pensord Press factory, a 40m building at Pontllanfraith at 2.20am.

Crews from Cefn Fforest, Abercarn and Caerphilly were called to fight the blaze.

A South Wales Fire Service spokeswoman said about 10% of the building was damaged by the fire with the rest smoke damaged.

No-one was injured.
