Consultation opens into plans to move New Tredegar Post Office

News | | Published: 15:00, Monday April 28th, 2014.

Plans to move New Tredegar Post Office into a shop have been revealed.

The proposals would see the Post Office move from James Street to Mandy’s Village Mart on Commercial Street and would increase its opening by 21 hours a week.

The opening times at the new Post Office would be from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and from 9am to 5.30pm on Saturday.

Adrian Wales, Post Office Regional Network Manager for Wales, said: “We understand how important having a Post Office is to residents in New Tredegar and we are confident that this new modern branch will make it easier for our customers to do business with us and also secure services for the future.”

A public consultation will close on May 22 and customers can take part by filling in a questionnaire by entering the code 23963299.
