Priests from India’s famous Tirupati Temple will conduct a service at Penyrheol Community Centre on Sunday June 8.
The Hindu festival, Sri Srinivasa Kalyanam, marks the celebration of the wedding of Lord Srinivasa (Balaji) to Sridevi and Bhoodevi and will be conducted with the same fanfare as in India, accompanied by vedic hymns.
The event is organised by national charity, GB SRS Brundavan, and was conducted in by priests from Tirupati in Reading last year, attracting 2,500 people.
The festival is free and begins at 8.30am with services also taking place from 10.30am with lunch from 12.30pm.
