The Eisteddfod will be held on the ground of Llancaiach Fawr Manor, near Nelson, between May 25 and May 30 next year.

The parade, held on on Saturday October 4, was led by the county samba band and mascot Mistar Urdd to Caerphilly Castle, where walkers were treated to an afternoon of entertainment.

Aled Sion, Director of the Urdd Eisteddfod, said: “We had a great day in Caerphilly on Saturday with a great number of local children joining in the parade to announce that the Urdd National Eisteddfod is coming to the Caerphilly area. The enthusiasm here is outstanding and we have a great number of hard working volunteers.

“If the Eisteddfod is as successful as the Proclamation Ceremony, we will have an Eisteddfod to remember in Caerphilly and the District in May 2015.”
