Gwent Police said they are currently treating the death as “unexplained”.
There was a significant police presence in the street with forensic officers examining the scene.
A Gwent Police spokeswoman said: “We were called at 10.56am this morning, Friday April 24 – report of a 78-year-old man found deceased at a property on Church Street, Llanbradach.
“Police and Ambulance Service attended.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained.”
