A teenager from Nelson is celebrating after winning the Mini Grand Prix at the 2017 Pony of the Year show.
Lily Morris, from Nelson, competed three ponies at the show including Ynys Toyah, who it was said would never be ridden again after a field accident.
After finishing 3rd out of the 72 during the first day’s qualifiers, Lily improved to finish top in the second day sessions.
She had two ponies in the Grand Prix, meaning Lily had to learn two different courses, but prevailed to win a trophy, training bursary, winners rug and other prizes.
