Care home under new ownership after £750,000 loan from Development Bank of Wales

The new owners of White Rose Care Home in New Tredegar bought it using a £750,000 loan from the Development Bank of Wales, it has been revealed.

Kevin Hallett, 32, of Heol Fawr, Penyrheol, targeted flats at an elderly people’s complex in New Tredegar.

A 13-year-old girl was rescued from a hillside by helicopter after suffering a dislocated knee.

The walk-in coronavirus testing centre at Caerphilly Leisure Centre will remain open until October 12.

Niall Price was sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court. He has been jailed for three years and four months.

The test centre will only be available for Caerphilly County Borough residents, with appointments needing to be booked in advance.
